Mechanical CAD Designer (Onsite) — Milwaukee, WI
We’re partnering with a leading industrial automation client to hire a Mechanical CAD Designer to support new product development for high-current, high-voltage power conversion and Motor Control Center (MCC) equipment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and contribute to the design and release of industrial power control products used across manufacturing environments.

What You'll Do
- Create and update mechanical CAD drawings from engineering sketches and design notes
- Support new product development for power conversion and Motor Control Center equipment
- Work with large assemblies (200 components) and complex mechanical structures
- Suggest design improvements to enhance manufacturability, quality, and cost
- Ensure drawings meet project and industry standards
- Maintain ECN/ECR documentation and follow engineering change procedures
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams
- Support release and lifecycle updates of industrial power control products
What They're Looking For
- 3 years of mechanical CAD design experience
- Strong experience with CREO, Pro/E, or AutoCAD
- Ability to manage and modify large assemblies
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Background working with power distribution equipment (240–690V AC)
- Experience with Pro/E CAD modeling
- SAP experience preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes:
- Sheet metal
- Plastic forming
- Machining
