About the Role: We are seeking a highly disciplined, professional to lead our retail operations. This role demands a unique blend of customer service excellence, strict inventory quality assurance, and operational grit. The ideal candidate will possess deep familiarity with Pakistani grocery products, Urdu/Hindi fluency, and the ability to manage the high-demand cycles of religious and seasonal holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership & Closing
- Facility Management: Responsible for full store opening/closing procedures, including security protocols (lighting, locks) and ensuring the meat department is sanitized and closed per company standards.
- Punctuality: Maintain a 100% attendance record with a strict 10:30 AM start.
- Point of Sale: Expertly navigate the Clover POS system for all retail transactions, cash handling, and daily reconciliation.
- Inventory Procurement & Quality Assurance (QC)
- Logistics Oversight: Supervise the receipt of all palletized shipments. Perform physical inspections to identify and document damages or discrepancies.
- Strict Date Management: Execute a "First-In, First-Out" (FIFO) strategy.
- Dairy: Minimum 60-day shelf life required upon receipt.
- Dry Goods/Other: Minimum 6-month shelf life required.
- Meat Department: Manage specialized meat orders and maintain high standards for the butchery section’s inventory levels.
- Marketing & Community Relations
- Digital Engagement: Manage the store’s WhatsApp community, providing high-quality updates on new arrivals, daily specials, and shipment arrivals.
- Strategic Upselling: Analyze slow-moving inventory and proactively promote items to customers to maximize turnover.
- Order Management: Professionally handle phone-in orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management or inventory control.
- Strong mathematical skills for cash handling and inventory counts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including inspecting pallets and standing for extended durations.
- A "lead-by-example" attitude with meticulous attention to detail regarding food safety and expiration dates.
Required Skills:
- Professional proficiency in Urdu and English is mandatory.
- This is a permanent management role; not suitable for current students.
- Must possess a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Pakistani grocery items and Halal meat standards.
- Must be available for extended hours during Eid-ul-Adha, and Christmas/New Year’s. (Note: Minimal time off granted during Eid peaks).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in community engagement and digital marketing.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
