Medical Surgical Nurse

• We are seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse
• Location:- Meeker, CO 81641
• Duration of contract:- 8 weeks
• Shift:- Days
• Pay range:- $66.89 to $70.55/hr.

Required Qualifications:-

• CURRENT, UNRESTRICTED COLORADO RN LICENSE REQUIRED
• Certs Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Covid Vaccinations: required
• Experience: Spine/Ortho Post Op Patient experience required, emphasis on Med/Surg

Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
• Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.
• Manage airway support, ventilator care, IV infusion, catheterization, and wound suturing as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and medical procedures meticulously within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
• Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, medical imaging (sonography), and specimen collection/processing.
• Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as ICU patients, trauma cases (Level I & II Trauma Center experience), cardiac catheterization recovery, dialysis patients, and those requiring infection control or infectious disease care.
• Assist with discharge planning, patient education on medication administration and health coaching, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management.
• Support patients with diverse conditions including geriatrics, pediatrics (neonatal ventilator care), behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, Alzheimer’s/dementia care, and working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
• Maintain sterile processing standards and ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed.
