- We are seeking a Long-Term Care Registered Nurse
- Location:- Honokaa, HI 96727
- Contract Duration:- 13 weeks
- Shift:- Shift: Varied shift scheduling of 8-hour shifts: Days 0730 - 1530, Evenings 1500 - 2330, and Nights 2300 – 0730. including weekends, holidays, OT rotation may be required
- Pay range:- $62.89 to $66.55/hr.
Required Qualifications:-
- Experience with LTC Nurse
- Must have RN HI State license
- BLS by AHA and Covid and Flu Vaccination
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques.
- Manage complex medical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization (including ostomy care), tube feeding, and ventilator management.
- Document patient care accurately using EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; ensure compliance with medical documentation standards including ICD-10/ICD-9 coding.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia/dementia-related conditions (Alzheimer’s/dementia care), behavioral health needs, or post-acute recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans and coordinate home & community care services.
- Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication management, nutrition, and disease prevention strategies.
- Maintain infection control protocols and sterile processing procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Respond effectively to emergencies including airway management, trauma medicine (Level I & II Trauma Center experience), or critical care transport situations.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA and NCQA standards while maintaining accurate medical records.
