Title: Industrial Electrician
Location: Modesto, CA
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician with 5–10 years of hands-on field experience to join a growing team supporting industrial projects across the Bay Area.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, excels in rigid conduit installation, and has strong experience with motors, motor controls, and VFDs. You'll work on a variety of industrial facilities, including food and agricultural processing plants, water and wastewater treatment facilities, manufacturing sites, wineries, and other industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and bend rigid metal conduit (RMC), EMT, and PVC-coated rigid conduit, including offsets, saddles, kicks, rolling offsets, and precision triple-nickel bends
- Install, terminate, troubleshoot, and maintain motors and motor control systems up to 480V 3-phase
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including Allen-Bradley/PowerFlex, ABB, Yaskawa, Danfoss, and similar systems
- Install cable tray systems and perform cable pulling, routing, and termination
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules
- Install and terminate MCCs, switchgear, panels, conduit systems, and control wiring in accordance with NEC and California electrical codes
- Perform testing, commissioning, startup support, megger testing, and torque-to-spec terminations
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and support maintenance, upgrades, and retrofit projects
- Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E procedures
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of industrial electrical experience
- Strong rigid conduit bending skills (core requirement)
- Experience with motors, motor controls, and VFD installation and troubleshooting
- Cable tray installation experience
- California State Certified General Electrician Card or active IBEW Journeyman Card (or ability to obtain)
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- NFPA 70E / Arc Flash Training
- PLC experience, particularly Allen-Bradley/Rockwell systems
- Experience in food processing, agriculture, water/wastewater, wineries, dairy, or manufacturing environments
- Aerial Lift, Scissor Lift, or Forklift Certifications
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Experience working on prevailing wage or public works projects
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
- Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
- Work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work overhead for extended periods
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and job-site equipment
