- Oversee the daily operations and performance of the dealership's Service and Parts departments
- Develop and implement strategies to improve fixed operations profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor key performance indicators including RO count, labor hours, effective labor rate, parts sales, gross profit, technician productivity, and customer-pay business
- Lead, coach, and develop Service and Parts managers and department employees
- Establish departmental goals and hold team members accountable for achieving performance objectives
- Monitor department expenses, budgets, payroll, inventory, and overall financial performance
- Work closely with the General Manager and dealership leadership on operational and financial goals
- Identify opportunities to increase service retention, customer-pay revenue, parts sales, and overall fixed-operations revenue
- Ensure proper processes are followed for repair orders, warranty work, parts, labor, and customer communication
- Monitor technician productivity, scheduling, workflow, and staffing needs
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and address escalated service concerns when necessary
- Ensure departments maintain high standards for customer service, quality, safety, and compliance
- Analyze departmental reports and financial statements to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, and retention of fixed-operations personnel
- Collaborate with Sales and other dealership departments to support overall dealership goals
- Prefer 8β10 years of experience in automotive dealership fixed operations or a related leadership capacity
- Previous automotive dealership management experience required
- Experience managing or overseeing Service and/or Parts operations
- Strong understanding of dealership fixed-operations processes and financial performance
- Demonstrated ability to improve department profitability and productivity
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to analyze financial and operational reports and make data-driven decisions
- Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive working environment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
