Accounting Manager

Downtown Miami | Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

A growing, well-capitalized company is hiring an Accounting Manager to join its team in downtown Miami. This is a high visibility role with a clear path to Controller within the next year for the right candidate.

The company is scaling quickly and this role will play a key part in building and refining processes as the organization grows.

Reporting into the VP of Accounting, the Accounting Manager will own the more technical and complex pieces of the monthly close for a multi-entity organization, while leading and developing two Staff Accountants who handle AP, AR, and GL.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving a 7-day, multi-entity month-end close
• Leading, mentoring, and developing accounting staff
• Supporting Controller succession planning, including financial trend analysis, expense reduction recommendations, and KPI tracking with actionable insights
• Managing joint venture P&L allocations
• Building, standardizing, and improving accounting processes as the company scales
• Supporting audit readiness and maintaining strong internal controls
• Assisting with technical accounting research and documentation

• 5 years of accounting experience, with multi-entity exposure
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting professionals
• Strong Excel skills; NetSuite and Power BI experience highly preferred
• Experience with project accounting under ASC 360-10 preferred
• Familiarity with variable interest entities a plus
• Background in a project-based or asset-intensive industry preferred
• Track record of building scalable processes and reducing close time
• Interest or experience in AI-driven process improvement a plus
• CPA or CPA-eligible a plus
