Job Summary:
HiRel Connectors Inc. (HIRELCO) is an industry leader whose expertise is in designing and manufacturing custom and MIL-Spec interconnect products for a variety of industries including Aerospace and Defense. As Stock Room Clerk your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and issuing materials and components, as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, and components for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store items in the stockroom according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Regularly conduct physical inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Fulfill internal material requisitions and work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and package materials for delivery to production areas, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock transactions using inventory management systems.
- Generate reports on stock levels, consumption, and order history as needed.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and quality standards.
- Organize and optimize stockroom layout for efficient storage and retrieval of materials.
- Rotate stock and manage shelf life to prevent obsolescence and waste.
- Implement and maintain a labeling system to facilitate easy identification of items.
- Communicate effectively with procurement, production, and other relevant departments to coordinate stock movements and resolve any issues.
- Report low stock levels, overstock situations, or potential shortages to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
- Previous experience as a stock room clerk, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording inventory.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment.
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
