Our client is seeking a CNC Operator/Setup Person to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts that meet quality standards and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines according to job specifications (Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers a must, lathes, or other equipment a plus).
- Operate machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Perform routine inspections and measurements using precision tools (calipers and gauges).
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to optimize performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- 5 years of CNC machine setup experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of G-code programming and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
