Role Overview:
Plan and execute structural testing across static, fatigue, and dynamic environments. This role supports both small-component testing and large full-scale assemblies, turning test requirements into sound setups, instrumentation, fixtures, documentation, and practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review test plans and requirements; coordinate implementation with stress, systems, purchasing, and quality teams.
- Work with strain gauges, load and pressure sensors, thermocouples, extensometers, and displacement transducers.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures and lead technicians and peers through testing activities.
- Inspect 3D models and produce documentation for test setups.
- Develop creative test solutions, troubleshoot setup issues, and analyze appropriate test-hardware sizing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering.
- Three years of relevant experience supporting materials or structural testing.
- Experience with test instrumentation, including strain, force/load, pressure, temperature, extension, and displacement measurement.
- Proficiency with 3D design tools or equivalent and common office applications.
- Strong written and verbal business communication.

It requires prolonged standing, sitting, squatting, walking, bending, reaching, and stretching as job duties demand, along with moving items up to 10 pounds throughout a shift without assistance.
