Position Overview:
Hired Employment Agency is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Teardown Technician to join our client’s team. This position involves the disassembly, cleaning, sandblasting, and preparation of industrial equipment and components. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and takes pride in performing quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely disassemble mechanical components and equipment according to specifications.
- Clean and prepare parts using solvents, tools, or industrial cleaners.
- Operate sandblasting equipment to remove rust, paint, and residue from parts and surfaces.
- Inspect and organize components for repair or reassembly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Report any equipment damage, part discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervision promptly.
- Assist with general shop duties as needed, including material handling and inventory support.
Requirements:
- Previous mechanical, teardown, or industrial experience preferred but not required — training provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and sandblasting equipment safely.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in equipment repair, refurbishment, or manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems or components.
- Commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay: Based on experience; competitive hourly rate.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time hours with occasional overtime as needed.
- Weekly pay through Hired Employment Agency.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
