Position Overview:
Hired Employment Agency is seeking a qualified and safety-driven Ventrac Operator for snow removal operations this winter season. This position requires precision, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety and reliability. The ideal candidate is experienced in snow removal and understands the importance of being dependable during inclement weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Ventrac tractors and attachments for snow removal on commercial and residential properties.
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe and in good working condition.
- Use attachments such as blades, blowers, and brushes for clearing snow and ice efficiently.
- Maintain situational awareness and operate equipment safely around pedestrians, vehicles, and property.
- Follow all safety protocols, site rules, and supervisor instructions.
- Communicate immediately regarding weather changes, site conditions, or delays.
- Keep all work areas and equipment clean, secure, and properly maintained.
- Safely operate Ventrac tractors and attachments (plows, brooms, blowers, etc.) for efficient snow and ice removal.
- Complete pre- and post-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain communication with supervisors throughout shifts regarding site progress and changing conditions.
- Monitor weather and surface conditions to ensure properties remain clear, safe, and accessible.
- Use proper techniques to avoid property damage and ensure equipment longevity.
- Maintain detailed records of site visits, service times, and conditions.
- Keep work areas organized and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating Ventrac or similar snow removal equipment required.
- Strong understanding of equipment safety, operational awareness, and hazard prevention.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Availability for 12-hour shifts (6AM–6PM or 6PM–6AM), including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to work in harsh winter conditions (cold, snow, ice, wind).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
