This role is responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing structural engineering projects within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. The Project Engineer will focus on building design using a variety of materials and structural systems. This position supports project managers and senior engineers in delivering high-quality structural solutions and documentation for diverse building projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems
- Develop gravity and lateral load-resisting systems per applicable codes, including the International Building Code
- Utilize software tools including RAM Structural System, RISA, SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit Structure
- Coordinate with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to produce construction documents and specifications
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
- Conduct field observations and respond to RFIs and submittals during construction phase
- Provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing
- Propose design solutions and future-state recommendations for structural system efficiency
- Support QA/QC processes and maintain design compliance throughout project lifecycle
- Engage with clients and stakeholders professionally in both written and verbal communications
- Structural engineering design
- Structural analysis software (RAM, RISA, SAP2000, ETABS)
- Revit Structure and BIM workflows
- Building code compliance (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS)
- Technical writing and documentation
- Field inspection and construction support
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (Master’s preferred)
- Passed PE or SE exam (SE preferred)
- Licensed professional engineer in at least one U.S. state
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in structural building design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with post-tensioned concrete design is a plus
- Location: Indianapolis, IN
