Job Title: Principal Engineer, Digital Transformation Platforms

Role Overview

A large-scale enterprise organization undergoing a major digital transformation is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the technical strategy and execution of next-generation supply chain and operational platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on modernizing enterprise systems, scaling cloud-native architecture, and improving engineering delivery through AI-enabled development practices.

This individual will operate as a senior technical authority across multiple engineering teams, influencing architecture, delivery strategy, platform standards, and operational excellence. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex enterprise challenges, driving modernization initiatives, and mentoring engineering organizations through large-scale transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision for large-scale enterprise platforms and modernization initiatives
• Lead architecture and system design decisions across distributed applications and cloud-native environments
• Partner with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable technical roadmaps
• Guide end-to-end solution delivery from architecture and planning through deployment and operational support
• Mentor engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers to elevate engineering standards and delivery quality
• Establish modern engineering practices across DevSecOps, observability, reliability, security, and operational support
• Drive execution across multiple engineering teams while managing dependencies, delivery risks, and technical alignment
• Lead deep technical discussions around APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns
• Improve engineering productivity and software quality through AI-enabled development tools and automation practices
• Communicate technical direction, risks, tradeoffs, and delivery health to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
• Help build scalable engineering processes, governance frameworks, and operating models across the software lifecycle
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence
  
  

Education & Qualifications

• 8 years of experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise software solutions
• Strong experience leading complex modernization or digital transformation initiatives
• 5 years of experience building cloud-native solutions within AWS environments
• Expertise with distributed systems, resiliency, scalability, and modern integration architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and modern web application development
• Experience with DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, and enterprise operational practices
• Experience with tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, JFrog, Artifactory, and ServiceNow
• Deep understanding of system architecture, domain-driven design, APIs, and event-driven systems
• Experience integrating data, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities into enterprise platforms
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience operating within scaled agile delivery environments

• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams
• Experience with large-scale enterprise transformation programs
• Exposure to AI-powered applications or AI-enabled development workflows
• Familiarity with supply chain or operational systems
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect
• SAFe or Agile delivery certifications
