Position Overview
This position supports mission-critical national security programs, focusing on the technical analysis of adversary air and ballistic systems. The role requires applying advanced scientific and engineering principles to evaluate foreign threats across multiple intelligence domains.
You will work with complex, multi-source datasets—including spectral, thermal, radio frequency (RF), and material signatures—to develop accurate, actionable intelligence. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and analytically driven, capable of translating raw data into meaningful insights that support operational and strategic decision-making within the Intelligence Community.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply principles of physics, engineering, materials science, and applied mathematics to analyze foreign air and ballistic systems
- Characterize system performance, capabilities, and limitations across spectral, RF, thermal, and material domains
- Conduct MASINT and non-literal GEOINT analysis to extract intelligence from sensor-derived data
- Analyze missile, UAV, and aircraft testing activities to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging threat capabilities
- Correlate data from multiple intelligence sources to build comprehensive threat assessments
- Support target development, capability analysis, and mission planning efforts
- Produce detailed intelligence products including written reports, briefings, and technical assessments for senior stakeholders
- Clearly communicate complex technical findings to both technical experts and operational leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across intelligence disciplines and agencies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM discipline (e.g., Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field)
- Demonstrated experience applying scientific or engineering principles to real-world or mission-focused problems
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with complex datasets and extracting actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MASINT, phenomenology, or RF/spectral/thermal analysis
- Familiarity with sensor data exploitation and non-literal GEOINT techniques
- Background in analyzing air, missile, or UAV systems and associated testing environments
- Experience in signature analysis, modeling and simulation, or test range data analysis
- Prior support to Intelligence Community organizations such as NASIC, NGA, DIA, or similar agencies
- Understanding of foreign weapons systems, threat analysis, or defense intelligence operations
