JUNIOR TREASURY ACCOUNTANT

Due to their recent growth, they are targeting a like-minded individual who shares similar values to join their Accounting and Finance team as an Internal Auditor.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will work closely with senior leadership to manage accounting operations and financial administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting and finance background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial records, reconcile accounts, process payments, and prepare financial reports. This is a stable, long-term opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage invoices, bills, donations, and other financial documentation, ensuring timely review, approval, and payment.
• Track and reconcile revenues, expenses, credit cards, travel cards, and purchase cards.
• Process payments, reimbursements, and wire transfers; accurately classify and record transactions.
• Prepare quarterly revenue and expenditure variance reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and the preparation of management presentations.
• Utilize QuickBooks or similar accounting software for transaction entry, payment tracking, and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management and tax purposes.
• Assist with annual tax preparation and filings for the organization and related entities.
• Monitor liabilities, credit accounts, and other financial obligations.
• Perform additional accounting and financial duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Oracle/NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and investigative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and financial presentation development.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency highly preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 4 years of general ledger accounting experience required.
• In place of a degree, 8 years of relevant professional experience may be considered.
