Aerospace Quality Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality requirements. This role will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and inspection teams to drive quality improvements, resolve technical issues, and maintain compliance with aerospace quality systems such as AS9100.
Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes in accordance with AS9100 and ISO quality standards

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues

Support First Article Inspections and review inspection documentation

Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects

Review engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T to ensure product compliance

Lead or participate in internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits

Monitor SPC data, quality metrics, and process capability to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve nonconformances and improve production processes

Develop inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation

Support customer quality requirements and maintain communication regarding quality performance
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical field (preferred)

5 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments

Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and aerospace quality standards

Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102), PPAP, and root cause analysis methodologies

Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation

Experience with CMM inspection systems and precision measurement tools

Familiarity with SPC, quality metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies
