Our client is looking for a caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Head Start Teacher to join their premier preschool in Grants, NM. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6-months to 5-years-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering and toilet training.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Full-Time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
- Head Start Teacher: working with children between 3 to 5 years old
- Shift: 7.5 to 8 hours a day between 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
- $17.17 - $25.82/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
- REQUIRED Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- REQUIRED Experience: 1 year in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
- Must be at least 18-years-old
