Utility Operator

OverviewWe are seeking a dependable Utility Operator to support production operations across multiple departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can adapt to changing priorities, and thrives in a manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, and teamwork.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a variety of production equipment such as saws, presses, sanders, or molding machines (training provided).Perform material handling including loading and unloading raw materials, moving finished parts, and staging materials for operators.Follow detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures at all times.Use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges to verify part dimensions.Assist in cutting, sanding, trimming, labeling, and packaging materials as needed.Maintain a clean and organized work area and support 5S initiatives.Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or quality issues promptly.Support various departments as needed based on production flow and priority jobs.QualificationsPrevious manufacturing, production, or machine-operator experience preferred but not required.Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable working around industrial machinery and following all safety protocols.Basic math skills and ability to read measurements accurately.Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new tasks.Ability to work overtime as needed.Preferred SkillsExperience using calipers, micrometers, or basic inspection tools.Background in composites, plastics, or insulation materials is a plus.Forklift experience (or willingness to train).
