CNC Set Up Operator - 1st Shift

CNC Operator

Location: Avon, OH
Pay: $17–$21/hr
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:30am – 4:00pm

Hire Sync is currently hiring CNC Operators for a growing manufacturing facility in Avon, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for individuals with CNC experience who enjoy working in a precision-focused environment producing foam components, assemblies, and specialty materials used in a variety of industries.

This role supports production and engineering teams by setting up and operating CNC equipment while maintaining strong standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform setup and operation of CNC routers and 5-axis waterjet cutting equipment
• Develop nesting programs and cut sheets to maximize material yield
• Use manufacturing work orders to set up and manufacture parts that meet quality standards
• Inspect and verify completed work prior to submission for inspection
• Review work orders, blueprints, materials, and specifications to plan machining operations
• Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
• Perform offsets, compensations, and basic machining calculations
• Monitor machining operations and take measurements to ensure accuracy
• Identify and report machining issues or malfunctions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of CNC manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with CNC mill, router, or lathe equipment is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic math skills including geometry and measurements
• Ability to use measuring tools and equipment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
