Well-established accounting firm seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is responsible for managing accounting functions for multiple entities across multiple states, including bookkeeping, payroll tax compliance, and sales tax filings. Location: Onsite/Knoxville, TN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $50,000-$65,000 (salary may be negotiable for a highly qualified candidate)

Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
• Post cash receipts and cash disbursements to the general ledger
• Process payroll and payroll tax filings
• Prepare and submit payroll tax deposits
• Prepare sales tax returns
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Maintain books for multiple companies
• Reconcile intercompany accounts
• Assist with additional bookkeeping and accounting functions as needed
Qualifications
• Experience with bookkeeping and general ledger accounting
• QuickBooks experience
• Payroll processing experience to include understanding how payroll reports are prepared and be able to reconcile back to the payroll summary and W-2's
• Experience managing payroll tax deposits and quarterly/annual payroll tax filings.
• Tax compliance experience to include calculating, preparing, and submitting local and state sales tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple entities/accounts simultaneously
• Full accounts payable and accounts receivable management, bank and credit card reconciliations
• Professional communication and time management skills
• Public accounting experience a plus
