Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Field Support Lead to serve as the primary technical resource for our East Coast operations. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in dynamic, on-site environments and enjoy solving real-time technical challenges. You will support construction sites, field offices, and satellite teams with hands-on troubleshooting, hardware and software deployments, and proactive service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support across job sites and field offices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in field environments with limited infrastructure
- Deploy and maintain laptops, mobile devices, printers, and networking equipment
- Collaborate with site managers to ensure IT readiness for new projects, relocations, and expansions
- Track field support metrics and recurring issues to improve service delivery
- Serve as liaison between field teams and central IT, translating needs into actionable solutions
- Maintain and audit IT inventory across multiple locations
- Travel regularly to support remote teams, conduct site audits, and resolve escalated issues
- Mentor junior technicians and manage high-priority support tickets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 5 years of IT support experience, including 2 years in field or remote site environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, mobile devices, networking, and cloud-based tools
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft MD-100/MD-101 preferred
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service desk platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
- Self-starter with strong time management and travel coordination skills
- Comfortable working in construction trailers, field offices, and corporate setting
