Company: Financial Services / FinTech
Compensation: Base salary $100,000–$170,000 (DOE) 60% bonus 0.1% equity
Contract: 6‑month contract with opportunity to convert to full‑time
Role Overview
A high‑growth AI firm is building autonomous agentic systems that automate complex analytical workflows across institutional finance. The platform replaces manual, multi‑day processes in credit, investment, ESG, and compliance with AI‑powered workflows that run in minutes. The team is expanding globally and looking for engineers who thrive in high‑velocity, high‑ownership environments.
The Role
This role sits at the intersection of systems architecture, applied AI, and institutional finance. You will work directly with investment, credit, and risk teams to understand how decisions are made, how they evaluate information, assess risk, and synthesize data, and translate those workflows into scalable, multi‑agent AI systems.
It is forward‑deployed work, embedded with customers, shaping the product inside real financial processes, iterating quickly, and delivering automation with immediate impact.
What You’ll Do
- Map investment and credit workflows with customer teams
- Architect and build multi‑agent AI systems used in production
- Own reliability, latency, and adoption of the solutions you deliver
- Convert bespoke workflows into reusable platform components
- Prototype quickly, test with users, and iterate based on live feedback
- Influence core platform architecture and agentic system design
Ideal Candidate
- 4 years of software development in fast-paced, product-focused environments
- Owned a subsystem or workflow end-to-end (requirements → architecture → implementation → launch)
- Strong Python fundamentals; think in primitives, patterns, and systems
- Already use AI to automate work or build LLM-powered workflows
- Comfortable translating customer ambiguity into crisp technical solutions
- Able to unblock yourself through learning, experimentation, and AI tools
- Thrive under tight deadlines, high expectations, and minimal process
- You'll have a solid grasp of our tech stack: Python, React / NextJS, Fast API, MongoDB, Redis
Nice-to-Haves
- Built or orchestrated multi-step LLM or agentic workflows
- Experience with financial workflows (credit, investment, ESG, risk)
- Infra/ops exposure (Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure/AWS, CI/CD, observability)
- Experience at early-stage startups
- Built internal frameworks, tooling, or templates used by multiple teams
- Experience with evals, guardrails, or workflow orchestration systems
Salary : $100,000 - $170,000
