Law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
Salary Range: $150-200K
Responsibilities
- Develop and support annual business and marketing plans for assigned practice groups
- Assist with annual budgeting and ensure initiatives align with firm priorities
- Manage day-to-day BD operations and maintain a high standard of client service
- Support onboarding and integration of lateral attorneys
- Implement client development programs, campaigns, seminars, and networking events
- Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and data analysis
- Maintain CRM data, mailing lists, and matter experience records
- Assist with directory submissions, surveys, awards, and profile-raising efforts
- Support BD training initiatives for attorneys
- Manage RFP and pitch responses; develop proposals and presentation materials
- Create and update marketing collateral, brochures, bios, and practice descriptions
- Provide event and sponsorship support for the local office
- Mentor junior BD team members and participate in recruitment and performance processes
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 6 years of BD, marketing, communications, or research experience in a law firm or professional services environment required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with research and competitive intelligence tools
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and managing projects or workflows
