Law firm is seeking a Records Specialist to join its Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage file intake, release, legal holds, data access, and destruction
- Support onboarding/offboarding of attorneys
- Oversee records retention and data disposition (electronic and hard copy)
- Maintain and administer IG systems (e.g., FileTrail, Fresh Service)
- Organize and index files in the Document Management System (DMS)
- Maintain department repositories and shared drives
- Recommend process and system improvements
- Guide attorneys on workspace and matter file management
- Support after-hours requests or projects as needed
- Assist with other IG-related tasks and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in information governance or records compliance
- Law firm experience strongly preferred
- Experience with AI/cloud platforms highly preferred
