Periodontal Registered Dental Assistant - PRN (478)

Job Purpose - PRN or Temporary position:
- The Periodontal Registered Dental Assistant at HIRE INTRODUCTION is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Periodontist, ensuring efficient and effective dental care. This role involves performing all standard duties of a Registered Dental Assistant, while also maintaining necessary certifications and licenses to uphold the highest standards of dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Periodontist in all clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of periodontal procedures.
- Perform all standard Registered Dental Assistant responsibilities, including preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, and assisting during procedures.
- Maintain a valid Registered Dental Assistant License as required by the state.
- Ensure the renewal of CPR/BLS certifications to guarantee readiness for any emergency situations.
- Keep up with state-required annual continuing education (CE) hours to stay informed about the latest dental practices and technologies.
- Utilize sedation experience to assist in procedures requiring sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Enhance patient communication and service by leveraging bilingual skills, if applicable.
- Hold or be willing to obtain DAANCE Certification to further support sedation dentistry practices.

Required Education:
- Registered Dental Assistant License by State
- CPR/BLS certification

Required Experience:
- Experience in supporting a Periodontist
- Familiarity with all standard Registered Dental Assistant responsibilities

Preferred Experience:
- Sedation experience

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain RDA license renewal
- Capability to maintain renewal of CPR/BLS certification
- Competence in maintaining state-required annual continuing education (CE) hours

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- DAANCE Certification is a plus
