Job Purpose - PRN or Temporary position:
- The Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant at HIRE INTRODUCTION is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the orthodontist, ensuring the efficient operation of the orthodontic practice. This role involves performing standard orthodontic techniques, assisting in routine adjustments, and managing both Phase I and Phase II treatments. The position requires maintaining professional credentials and continuing education to deliver the highest standard of care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the orthodontist in all aspects of patient care and treatment.
- Perform standard orthodontic techniques, including routine adjustments, bonding and debonding, and managing Phase I and Phase II treatments.
- Execute standard Registered Dental Assistant responsibilities, ensuring compliance with state regulations and maintaining a high level of patient care.
- Utilize bracket and wire systems effectively in patient treatments.
- Maintain current Registered Dental Assistant licensing and ensure timely renewal of CPR/BLS certifications.
- Complete required annual continuing education hours to stay updated with the latest orthodontic practices.
- Leverage cephalometric experience to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Preferably, utilize clear aligner systems and 3D intraoral scan software and technology to enhance patient care.
- Ideally, apply CBCT software and technology experience to support advanced diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Registered Dental Assistant License by State
- Active CPR/BLS certification with ongoing renewal
- Maintain renewal of RDA licensing
- Maintain required annual Continuing Education (CE) hours
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Orthodontics
- Experience with Cephalometric analysis
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Clear Aligner systems
- Familiarity with 3D Intraoral scan software and technology
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with bracket and wire systems
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with CBCT software and technology
