Join a privately held industry leader in water asset management with over 60 years of experience serving municipalities across the U.S. As a Field Sales Representative, you’ll gain hands-on field experience, build relationships with municipal clients, and contribute to projects that directly impact water safety and reliability in local communities. You’ll complete a robust 4-month training program combining classroom instruction and hands-on fieldwork, preparing you to drive new business initiatives that directly impact water safety and reliability in our communities.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete 8 weeks of classroom training in Atlanta, followed by 8 weeks of field shadowing with senior consultants.
- Conduct prospecting activities and develop relationships with underserved municipalities in assigned territory.
- Support/Lead customer meetings, tank inspections, and site visits (tank climbing required).
- Climb water towers to inspect for rust, corrosion, damages, and other reparable issues.
- Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline to drive revenue using internal CRM tools.
- Prepare weekly planning and reporting updates for sales leadership.
- Participate in capstone presentation to senior leadership as part of training program.
- Travel independently across the region Monday–Thursday for field-based prospecting and sales development.
- Assist in developing customized solutions that address infrastructure needs and budget cycles for municipal clients.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, 2-year degree with strong experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of successful inside or outside sales experience; water industry or adjacent is preferred.
- Must be willing and physically able to climb to heights not exceeding 200 feet with proper safety equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and develop pipelines.
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.
- Highly motivated and adaptable with strong work ethic and “road warrior” mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to 80%.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
