Job Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanic with a minimum of 10 years of experience in structural maintenance, repair, and modification of fixed-wing and/or rotary-wing aircraft. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced aircraft maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced structural repairs and modifications to aircraft in accordance with technical data, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
- Remove, repair, fabricate, and install aircraft structural components, including fuselage skins, bulkheads, frames, doors, panels, and support assemblies.
- Use blueprints, drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals to accomplish complex structural tasks.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Operate precision measuring equipment, hand tools, and power tools necessary for structural repairs and fabrication.
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Complete all required documentation including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work orders in accordance with company and FAA standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and comply with all safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of recent aircraft structural repair and modification experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
- Experience with aluminum, composites, and sheet metal fabrication and repair.
- Familiarity with military aircraft platforms preferred, not required
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions including hangars and flightlines.
