Faith-Based Nonprofit | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | Onsite

Pay: $48,000 - $60,000 DOE

Our faith-based nonprofit client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team and help support churches and ministry organizations throughout Colorado. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys meaningful work and wants to make a positive impact through financial stewardship and service.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process payroll and payroll tax reporting through QuickBooks Online
• Maintain general ledger and journal entries
• Perform bank and investment account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Track and maintain contribution and donation records
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards
• Maintain accurate and confidential financial records
• Collaborate with internal team members and organizational leaders

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• QuickBooks Online proficiency required
• Experience with nonprofit or ministry accounting preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
