Hire Champ is recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the team at a residential apartment community in Wilmington, DE.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, dependable, comfortable using tools, and willing to learn. Previous apartment maintenance experience is not required. Candidates with transferable experience in facilities, environmental services, construction, painting, general labor, property upkeep, custodial work, or similar hands-on positions are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with general maintenance and upkeep throughout the apartment community
- Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assist with painting, patching, and preparing apartments as needed
- Help maintain common areas and property grounds
- Assemble, repair, or move items as needed
- Respond to assigned maintenance requests
- Safely use basic hand and power tools
- Help keep maintenance areas, equipment, and supplies organized
- Identify maintenance concerns and communicate them to management
- Follow property safety procedures
- Assist the maintenance team with additional projects as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Comfortable working with and using tools
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Good problem-solving skills
- Professional and respectful when interacting with residents and team members
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
- Previous maintenance or apartment experience is a plus, but not required
