What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Design Engineer position at Hire-Authority?
Our client is searching for an Electrical Design Engineer for their headquarters in North Houston (near George Bush Intercontinental Airport). The ideal candidate would possess advanced knowledge in the field of electrical engineering which will be utilized to provide electrical engineering design for HVACR equipment. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 per year.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Test electrical systems and adjust as needed.
- Utilize CAD to design and perfect new electrical systems.
- Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems.
- Design prototypes, troubleshoot potential issues, make changes to fix any issues and create specifications and other details for the systems.
- Document specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding projects.
- Produce reports addressing project progress and other details for managerial staff.
- Assist in the production of electrical systems in the manufacturing of industrial equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all work completed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in the electrical engineering field is required.
- CAD Software experience.
- Electrical schematics and electrical systems diagnostics & repair experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
