Our client is searching for a Bilingual Area Manager for their janitorial services company that will oversee customers in the Ft. Lauderdale Market. . Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this leadership position plays a critical role in client satisfaction, employee development, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include managing labor budgets, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and driving both customer and employee retention efforts. Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish and the salary range is $75,000-$85,000 per year plus bonus.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operational Duties:
- Maintain quality service through on-site inspections with customers maintaining frequent visits, recording visits, and requesting grades from clients.
- Responsible for staffing, onboarding, and training on assigned job sites.
- Train and develop all associates across all job functions within the assigned area to ensure consistency in cleaning procedures and proper use of company approved tools and products.
- Conduct safety training and completes safety audits and reports for all incidents within 24 hours.
- Responsible for all aspects of customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Identify and mentor associates to develop the next generation of leaders.
- Assigns tasks to associates and inspects completed work to ensure quality standards are met and exceeded.
- Handle associate concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the VP of Operations and HR when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, conduct customer complaint follow-up calls, document findings, and communicate action plan to VPO and team.
- Support the successful start-up of new accounts and provide information to management. Meet the customer and build working relationships with them.
- Responsible for checking timekeeping system to ensure employees are / have been at job sites and that time is accurately accounted for and within the site budget.
- Conduct building inspections to maintain a quality level that meets the customer’s and the company’s standards.
- Follow and enforce all company policies.
- Order supplies and equipment managing inventory levels across locations.
- Know and understand the labor budget for their buildings. Report on adjustments in vacancies and other items affecting the budgets. Can operate within a dynamic and flexible environment.
- Review and assist in budget management and staffing levels for all buildings within area of responsibility and maximize efficiency of operation.
Administrative Duties:
- Client communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients
- Be available for evening site visits and weekend phone calls if needed
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
- Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
- Update and maintain customer contact information.
Requirements:
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Must have previous supervisory experience in the janitorial/commercial cleaning industry.
- Solid experience managing and leading the activities of a skilled, diverse and dedicated staff.
- Ability to communicate and implement company objectives and initiatives.
- Ability to travel to meetings as directed.
- High-level of ethics and integrity.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Highly motivated and able to influence and motivate others.
