Duties
- Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning tools, and shipping & receiving procedures to maintain accurate stock levels
- Assist with order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment like forklifts and cherry pickers to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Follow OSHA standards and forklift safety protocols during all material handling activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Load and unload shipments with precision using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety standards in production environments
- Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing storage areas, performing cycle counts, and maintaining clean workspaces
Requirements
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts (lift truck), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and order pickers
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management practices
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Experience with equipment repair or maintenance is a plus but not required
- Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to safety protocols in fast-paced environments
- Warehouse or distribution center experience preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated learners eager to grow their skills in warehouse operations
