Job Type: Full-time. Monday - Friday with flexible start times to help you balance your life outside of work with your career
Pay: $28.85 - $37.50 per hour (equivalent to $60,000-$78,000 annually)
*Based on experience, education, and credentials

Responsibilities / What You’ll Do

• Tax Preparation & Filing: Execute tax preparation and filing for various entities, including Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), and Corporate (1120S) returns, including complex Amended Returns.
  
• Tax Compliance & Research:
  • 
    Handle direct IRS and State Tax Agency correspondence, including managing payroll-related tasks.
    
  • 
    Assist with the preparation and filing of various Sales Tax and Property Tax forms.
    
  • 
    Conduct targeted Tax Research and analysis to determine optimal tax treatment and solutions for unique client situations.
    
• Client Advisory Support: Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend proactive strategies, communicating findings with Senior Accountants.
  
• Peer Review: Conduct Peer Review for miscellaneous tasks and low-to-moderate complexity returns (Complexity Level 1 & 2) to ensure accuracy and maintain our Quality Control standards.
  
• Cross-Training:
  • 
    Engage in cross-functional support and organize client Source Documents.
    
  • 
    Contribute ideas that improve our Tax Systems and overall client experience.
    

 
Qualifications / Who are we looking for

• 
  Accounting degree or 2-3 years of experience preferred.
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• 
  Experience with CCH Axcess or similar accounting software (preferred)
  
• 
  A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  
• 
  Adaptable to change and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
  
• 
  Ability to answer client questions using layman's language
  
• 
  A team player who appreciates a lighthearted culture (dad jokes welcome).
