Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join our dynamic team. Must have transportation and tools. Must have good customer service skills. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help maintain a seamless environment by performing a wide range of repair, installation, and maintenance tasks. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Perform repairs and installations across various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Carry out residential painting projects to improve property appearance and value
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders and asset tracking
- Supervise or assist with small teams during complex projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assist with facilities cleaning, landscaping, or other general upkeep duties as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and team members about work progress and issues
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in electrical work, including troubleshooting circuits with tools like ohmmeters
- Experience with welding techniques for metal fabrication or repairs
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks
- Skilled in residential painting and basic carpentry work
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures across commercial or residential settings
- Supervising experience in small teams or projects is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and client interactions
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and facility layouts accurately
- Hands-on experience with CMMS software for maintenance scheduling and record keeping
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Leadership qualities to guide junior team members effectively
