Duties
- Carefully pack and secure items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit
- Load and unload trucks with heavy or bulky items, utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Assist with moving furniture, boxes, and equipment into or out of storage units, vehicles, or client locations
- Operate commercial vehicles like box trucks or courier vans for local deliveries and pickups, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Maintain organization of packing supplies and ensure all items are properly labeled for easy identification during delivery or storage
- Collaborate with team members to plan efficient routes for route driving assignments, ensuring timely deliveries or pickups
- Follow safety procedures consistently during manual lifting, load securing, and driving tasks to minimize risk of injury
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or background in moving services is highly desirable
- Experience in customer service roles that involve direct interaction with clients is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or courier experience preferred
- Familiarity with operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and delivery driver responsibilities enhances performance in this role
