Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools.
- Teach a broad range of mathematical subjects including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and related fields such as biochemistry or molecular biology when applicable.
- Design assessments, administer standardized tests, and provide constructive feedback to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage classroom environments effectively by applying behavior management techniques and fostering an inclusive, respectful atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Mentor students individually or in small groups through tutoring sessions or academic advising to support diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and research initiatives to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Utilize research laboratory experience or scientific research knowledge when teaching science-integrated math topics like genetics or microbiology.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to higher education teaching methods, dissection techniques, or special education strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and lesson plans while ensuring compliance with educational standards and library services resources.
- Serve as a positive role model of Islamic character.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven classroom experience with diverse student populations in private or public school settings; experience with Montessori or special education is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of core mathematical disciplines including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and molecular biology concepts when applicable.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and instructional design tools to enhance lesson delivery.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and lesson planning tailored to various learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, mentoring, and collaboration with colleagues and parents.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods to support student achievement.
- Background in scientific research or laboratory experience related to microbiology or biochemistry is a plus.
