Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate / Cashier. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced retail setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing a welcoming and supportive shopping experience.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
- Utilize knowledge of retail products to make informed sales recommendations, upsell and cross-sell to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of store policies and procedures to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Keep the store clean and organized, including the cash register, stockroom, and sales floor.
- Assist with stocking shelves and receiving shipments to ensure an organized and visually appealing store environment.
- Perform basic retail math calculations, including counting change and handling cash register transactions.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette and respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
- Work collaboratively with the store team to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a retail sales environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Basic knowledge of retail math and POS systems.
- Proficiency in using a cash register and handling cash and credit transactions.
- Ability to lift and move stock, and to stand for long periods.

- The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
