Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Upsell related products or promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and appealing through merchandising and stocking duties.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment with accuracy while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support team members by supervising or mentoring new staff when needed, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts to ensure product availability.
- Promote a positive shopping experience by maintaining clear communication skills and a friendly attitude at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for handling transactions confidently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual environments if applicable.
