Operations and Fufillment Specialist

Hinz Motorsport is a growing e-commerce business specializing in high-performance brake components for Porsche, BMW, Audi, McLaren, Ferrari, and other European performance platforms. Our customers are serious enthusiasts: track day drivers, club racers, and owners who know their cars. We are looking for someone who speaks their language. This is a ground floor hire. You will be the first employee, working next to the owner and learning how we talk to customers and run the business. We are headed for a bigger facility and a bigger team, and the right person grows with it.

You own the day-to-day operations of the shop: the phone, the inbox, order entry, receiving, packing, and shipping. When a customer calls with a fitment question, you help them find the right part. When a pallet of discs shows up, you check it in. When an order comes through, you make sure it goes out right and on time.

This is not a call center job and it is not a marketing or engineering job. It is the person who keeps orders moving and customers taken care of. You do not need to know everything on day one. We will invest in your training. Enthusiasm and the drive to learn matter more to us than a perfect resume.

•     Answer customer emails and phone calls: order status, shipping, returns, and product questions

•     Help customers with fitment questions (which discs, pads, and calipers fit their specific car) using our fitment database

•     Process orders, returns, and warranty claims in Shopify and keep records accurate

•     Receive inbound shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and put product away

•     Pick, pack, and ship outbound orders, including large and fragile items like carbon ceramic discs and wheels

•     Coordinate with carriers and our import partners on lead times and tracking

•     Keep the shop organized, inventory counts accurate, and supplies stocked

•     Escalate complex technical questions and custom applications to ownership

Must have:

•     Real automotive enthusiasm. You know what various makes and models are.

•     Strong written and phone communication skills. Customers should hang up feeling taken care of.

•     Reliability and consistency. We are counting on you to be here every day and own your work.

•     Work ethic. Small company, busy shop, no one to hand things off to.

•     Organized and comfortable juggling calls, orders, and shipments in the same hour

•     Comfort learning new software quickly

Nice to have:

•     European car knowledge: Porsche, BMW, Audi, or similar (ownership, wrenching, track days, parts counter, or dealership experience all count)

•     Experience with brakes, suspension, or other performance parts

•     Shopify, shipping, warehouse, parts counter, service advisor, or e-commerce experience

•     Interest in AI tools and how they can make a small business run smarter

No degree required. No engineering background required. Everything about our products and systems is trainable if you bring the right attitude.

•     You will talk to interesting customers about interesting cars. Cup cars, GT3s, M cars, not oil changes on minivans.

•     Paid trips to racetracks. Testing Days at places like Road America is part of the job

•     Parts at cost from all of our suppliers: Hinz Carbon, CCST, Forgeline, PFC, and Pagid
