Hinson Hearing at Home provides high-quality, personalized audiologic care directly in clients’ homes, helping individuals who may face barriers such as traffic, transportation challenges, or caregiving responsibilities. Services include hearing tests, hearing aid evaluations, programming, cleaning, and adjustments to ensure optimal device performance. The practice also offers remote hearing aid adjustments, custom noise reduction and hearing protection devices, as well as vertigo (BPPV) testing and treatment. The focus is on convenient, compassionate, and accessible hearing healthcare tailored to each client’s needs.

Role Description

The Audiologist will provide home-based audiologic services to clients in Mobile and Baldwin Counties, AL, including comprehensive hearing assessments, hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and ongoing device programming and maintenance. Responsibilities include documenting clinical findings, educating clients and families on hearing health and device use, and performing vertigo (BPPV) testing and treatment as needed. The role also involves offering remote hearing aid adjustments, coordinating appointments, and maintaining clear communication with clients to ensure continuity of care. This is a PRN 1099 role with a mix of in-home visits and work-from-home tasks such as telehealth follow-ups, report writing, and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Current Audiology license in Alabama and eligibility to practice independently; AuD or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
• Experience with hearing assessments, hearing aid evaluations, fittings, programming, and routine device maintenance and cleaning.
• Knowledge of vertigo (BPPV) assessment and treatment techniques and willingness to provide in-home balance-related services is a plus

• Comfort with hybrid care models, including in-home visits and remote/telehealth hearing aid adjustments, and basic proficiency with relevant digital tools.
• Reliable transportation for local home visits in the Mobile to Gulf Shores area and ability to manage schedule and documentation independently.
• Ability to serve a variety of populations without discrimination, maintaining cultural sensitivity and professionalism
