Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely while applying cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and floor care products in accordance with safety protocols.
• Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, cleaning supplies, and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by sanitizing surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed.
• Operate cleaning machinery including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet extractors to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained.
• Follow safety procedures diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns related to cleanliness or facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings with familiarity in commercial cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor buffing, sanitation practices, and chemical handling safety procedures.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners is preferred.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently in a part-time schedule.
