Overview
Hinsdale Properties is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join our property maintenance team. This position will be responsible for electrical work across our residential properties, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, upgrades, and code compliance.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, able to work independently, and comfortable working in occupied residential properties.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues throughout our properties
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical components
- Perform electrical upgrades and improvements during apartment renovations and property projects
- Troubleshoot service issues and respond to electrical maintenance requests
- Inspect existing electrical systems and identify needed repairs or safety concerns
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable state and local electrical codes
- Obtain or assist with permits and inspections when required
- Help identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and electrical system improvements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- Current Vermont Master Electrician License
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical plans, diagrams, and specifications
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service requests and projects
- Professional and courteous when working with tenants and property staff
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
