Full-Time Substitute Teacher/Aide

JOB TITLE: Full-Time Substitute Teacher/Aide
(Temporary Position remainder of 2021-2022 school year)

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

JOB OBJECTIVE: Substitute Teacher/Aide to assist in the daily operations of Lake City
Community School.

QUALIFICATIONS: Enthusiasm for working with children; minimum of high school
diploma, college degree preferred; experience working with children; strong verbal and
written communication skills with children and adults; willingness to learn necessary
technology.

SUBSTITUTE AUTHORIZATION: A Colorado Department of Education Substitute
Authorization (1-, 3-, or 5-year) or Teacher License is required. Information about
acquiring Authorization is on the CDE website.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: A criminal background check is required.

HOURLY PAY: $13.50-13.75 Depending on experience, 32-40 hours/week,
plus paid health/dental benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow supervision guidelines for before school, recess, lunch, and/or after

school duty assignments; assist school nurse in implementing regular COVID
testing for students and staff, contact tracing, isolation and quarantine
evaluations. Provide academic intervention supports to students. Substitute in
classroom on an as-needed basis: Implement lesson plans left by classroom
teachers; actively monitor student behavior and progress; answer student
questions; leave detailed notes for classroom teacher indicating activities
accomplished and any problems that arose. Other duties as assigned.
