Job Title: Wireless Technician (DAS In-Building)Location: Regional Travel (60–80%) - WisconsinEmployment Type: Full-Time Contract to perm 6 mo - depending on performance and project needPay range: 21-25/hr - due to being a contract to start, no benefits until converted after 6 monthsSummaryThe Wireless Technician plays a key role in building and maintaining reliable wireless networks. This position supports the installation, testing, and repair of wireless systems across rooftop sites, small cells, pole mounts, and distributed antenna systems (DAS). You’ll work hands-on in the field with a team that values safety, quality, and professionalism.DescriptionInstall, maintain, and upgrade wireless equipment across rooftop, indoor, and outdoor sites.Read construction drawings and blueprints to determine cable paths and equipment locations.Run, label, and terminate coax and fiber cables.Perform cable sweeps, spectrum analysis, PIM testing, and insertion/return loss testing.Splice and test fiber using OTDRs, fusion splicers, and industry-standard tools.Operate lifts, bucket trucks, and ladders to complete work at height.Document field data and support engineers and project managers with site readiness.Ensure all work meets safety requirements, quality standards, and carrier specifications.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.At least 1 year of field installation or related wireless/telecom experience.Hands-on experience with coax/fiber installation, termination, and testing.Ability to read and work from blueprints and construction drawings.Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in varying conditions.Experience using hand tools, power tools, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, and splicing equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Valid driver’s license.Preferred:Prior wireless industry experience (small cell, DAS, macro, rooftop, or tower).Knowledge of carrier standards and testing procedures.Travel & Physical RequirementsTravel regionally 60–80% of the time.Lift up to 50 lbs.Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including rooftops and confined spaces.Work around electrical components and ESD-sensitive equipment.
