What You'll Accomplish
- In your first 3 months: You will establish a clear baseline of our current landscape by building an accurate dashboard of spend, renewal dates, and contracts. You will build trust with key cross-functional stakeholders to understand their needs and identify immediate opportunities for consolidation and cost reduction.
- In your first 6 months: You will launch comprehensive procurement strategies and policies that support our key business objectives. You will lead critical negotiations with suppliers and vendors, securing the best possible terms and driving measurable savings for the organization.
- In your first year: You will institutionalize a best-in-class procurement function by developing standardized procedures and training for cross-functional teams. You will create and implement a consistent ROI workflow to ensure every purchase delivers maximum return on investment.
- A Strategic Operator: You are meticulously organized and detail-oriented, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
- Resilient: You thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments. You are an independent problem solver who maintains speed and quality even when the path isn't fully defined.
- A Trust Builder: You have exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude. You manage relationships effectively, from internal stakeholders to external vendors, ensuring alignment and shared success.
- 8 years of procurement experience, including direct experience in a leadership role.
- Public Company Experience: You have navigated the compliance and rigor required of a public company environment.
- Contract Negotiation: Proven expertise in negotiating complex contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- People Management: Strong experience managing people and vendor programs effectively.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
- Experience with financial systems in a SaaS-based environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel and G-Suite.
