Non-Intensive Paraeducator (GenEd, up to 3 positions) Needed
Location: Hinesburg Community School

Hinesburg Community School (HCS) is seeking up to 3 energetic Non-Intensive Paraeducators to join our general education team starting the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for skilled, caring, and positive team members to assist, supervise, and provide crucial support to assigned students and groups as directed by licensed professionals. The successful candidates will help create a welcoming, friendly, and growth-minded environment that ensures the best educational opportunities for all students.
In this role, you will act as an advocate for inclusive education, working collaboratively with staff to promote child growth, foster overall student independence, and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supporting instructional activities (including behavioral instruction), developed and adjusted as required by a designated professional.
- Collecting data to share with designated professional(s).
- Supervising students when assigned, including lunch and recess, and before/after school duties.
- Fostering independence so that students can fully participate in school activities.
- Communicating and collaborating with appropriate educational personnel and related service providers.
- Participating in team meetings upon request.
- Providing support for students on bus routes.
- Providing substitute coverage as assigned.
- Carrying out school and district policies with high levels of professional integrity.
