We are looking for a skilled and dependable Press Brake Operator to join our team of precision sheet metal fabricators. This role combines hands-on machine expertise with precision measurement, material knowledge and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled and committed to producing accurate precision sheet metal parts.
Press Brake Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form and shape metal components.
- Select correct tooling based on each job's parameters.
- Work with steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Adjust machine settings for different materials and thicknesses.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Experience & Background
- 3 years experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Experience working with a variety of metals across different thicknesses.
- Skilled in maintaining tight tolerances throughout production runs.
- Familiarity with bend calculations to ensure accurate finished parts.
- Experience with quality control processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience setting up press brake and selecting appropriate tooling.
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges and other inspection tools as well as miscellaneous hand and power tools.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Problem solving skills and critical thinking.
- Familiarity with Amada equipment a plus.
- Lifting/Pulling 50 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Perform repetitive motions, including bending, reaching and handling materials.
