What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finish Grade Small Equipment Operator position at Himmel Construction, Inc.?
Finish Grade Equipment Operator - Skilled & Minimum of 5 Years of Small/Compact Equipment Experience Required in Earthwork and Civil Construction.
Must be experienced in various types of equipment including Loaders, Excavators, Dozer, Backhoes, Skid Steers for Site / Underground Utility Installation.
- READ BLUEPRINTS & DETAILS
- GPS EQUIPMENT
- SHOOT GRADES & SLOPES
- STAKE & LAYOUTS
- EXCAVATION & SITE GRADE
- MUST BE ABLE TO FINISH GRADE, including Subgrade for Paving, Finish Rock & Pads.
- ABLE TO TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT TO JOBSITES
- Maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in other duties as required. Maintain a safe work environment and follow company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Self Starter and able to Coordinate with crews.
- Valid Driver’s License with a Good Driving Record
- Pass a Drug Test & Background Check
Field Test required prior to Hiring. Compensation based on a 50-60 hours work week, experience and skill. This position requires the employee to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to walk through rough terrain, stand, sit, push, pull, bend and lift as required to perform tasks.
